片中的主人公是一名罪犯，当他来到一座古旧的小镇寻找传说中的宝藏时，并不知道自己是镇上的长老们觊觎的目标。西班牙低成本3D动画片，邀请到了《鬼妈妈》的动画团队以及著名配音大师菲利普·格拉斯参与制作，配音阵容亦十分强大。影片也是西班牙首部以成人为目标观众而拍的动画片，其风格令人想起蒂姆·波顿的《僵尸新娘》，有关乎西班牙加利西亚地区的风俗、传说以及历史。
