古城西安，人近中年的穆斯林帖普生和正处在叛逆期的儿子帖木相依为命。帖普生的妻子早年去世，儿子因为他没留下妈妈的任何东西，而将其视若仇敌，爱答不理。不知为什么，帖木执意要去北京去一样很重要的东西，父亲对此自然严厉制止。逼仄的斗室内，父子俩相互斗气，各不退让。这天，帖普生接到女性朋友杜阳的电话，请他同上北京去帮个忙。这位抽坏了心肠的父亲顺坡而下，叫上儿子和他们同行。在洛阳市老城区，父子一行落脚某个清真馆吃饭，谁知帖普生却被一个债主绊住。儿子却带着杜阳来网吧卖装备……...
