二〇〇二年，山西省大同市的居士们有缘了解到地藏经消除业障的原理，通过读诵地藏经，逐渐有人受益，一传十，十传百，慢慢影响开来，受益的人群逐渐多了起来，这个事情慢慢传播开来了。当时，中央电视台的陈大惠居士了解到了这个情况，发心要将这个学佛受益的真实情况记录下来，于2004年专程来大同，在大同的一个居民小院里将部分受益的居士集合起来，进行了拍摄，经过长期认真剪辑，从中选取了四十位学佛受益的人士，将他们自己叙述的事迹编辑制成了纪录片，命名为《山西小院》。在得到了北京广化寺北京佛教文化研究所诸位大德的认可...
