首次打破政治禁忌，在德国国内犹太裔与其他民族关系还颇为微妙的情况下，大开犹太人和德国人的玩笑。40年前，犹太人祖克的妈妈带着他的兄弟祖可曼逃到西德，从此一堵柏林墙将两兄弟分隔东西。柏林墙倒了、他们的妈妈死了之后，两兄弟40年来才有机会重逢，并且根据母亲的遗愿他们要重归于好骨肉相认才能继承遗产。于是祖克则要重新熟悉犹太生活，重新找回真正的自己。可是已经在东德生活多年，他几乎已经背弃了犹太式的生活，重拾起来未免笑料百出。...
