电影简介:

本片描写的是一个脾气暴躁的盲上尉法斯托，在副官西西欧的陪伴下从都灵赶往那不勒斯的一段旅途中发生的故事。名义上上尉是去见一个军中的朋友，那人在一次军事行动中不幸毁容。实际上，上尉打算在那儿自杀。法斯托并不想让别人可怜他。在途经罗马时，他找来牧师为他作一次祈祷。他让西西欧为他找来美丽的女人。法斯托不满西西欧的描述，他要用他的鼻子闻香识女人。他随身还带着过去的恋人莎拉的照片，他无法忍受以现在的面貌去见她。当最后行将自杀时，莎拉出现在他的面前，西西欧也从这次旅行中感悟到许多人生的真谛。...
